About Us
Jade London is a contemporary jade brand reimagining jadeite for the modern world. Combining British design with Chinese heritage, we unite authentic material, advanced craftsmanship and a refined aesthetic rooted in centuries of cultural meaning.
Our focus is to expand jadeite beyond tradition, creating design-led collections that bring this remarkable material to a new generation seeking luxury with purpose.

Origin: Kazakhstan
Our jadeite begins in Kazakhstan, in a rare geological formation unlike any other large-scale jadeite source in the world.
Formed over 300 million years, this stone is older than the dinosaurs, a material shaped deep within the earth long before it would ever be cut, carved or polished by human hands.
Central Asia has long been part of jade’s ancient journey, with historic routes carrying precious stone eastwards to the emperors of the Han dynasty. For Jade London, this is not a new discovery, but a return: an extraordinary material restored to its rightful place in the story of jade.
Each block carries its own internal landscape of colour, mineral depth, density and natural pattern. Every finished piece begins here, with authentic jadeite, selected at source and shaped with respect for its natural character.
For those new to the material, our Introduction to Jadeite explains what makes jadeite so rare, revered and culturally significant.

Responsible Sourcing
We believe jadeite should be handled with the same care at every stage: from sourcing and selection to cutting, carving and finishing.
Our material is sourced through trusted mining partners in Kazakhstan: a small, experienced team working directly at the source. The use of appropriate heavy machinery allows the stone to be extracted efficiently and safely, supporting better working conditions while reducing unnecessary manual labour.
This controlled approach also helps minimise environmental disruption. Rather than large-scale anonymous extraction, our sourcing is based on direct relationships, careful selection and a respect for the natural material.
Because jadeite is a finite resource, every block is assessed thoughtfully before it enters production. Our aim is to honour as much of the stone as possible, creating lasting pieces with minimal waste.

How We Handle the Material
Every piece of jadeite is approached with care and respect for its natural character.
Before cutting begins, each block is studied for colour, density, translucency, mineral depth and internal structure. These qualities determine how the material should be used, whether for a bangle, a carved object, a homeware piece or a larger sculptural form.
Rather than imposing a fixed design onto the stone, we allow the jadeite to guide the process. Its natural patterning, tone and movement influence the final shape, helping us create pieces that feel balanced, intentional and true to the material.
This considered approach reduces waste, preserves character and ensures each finished piece carries the individuality of the stone it came from.

Skilled Artisanal Carving
Each Jade London piece is shaped by highly skilled jade artisans with deep experience working with this demanding material.
Jadeite is exceptionally hard, dense and unforgiving. It requires specialist tools, patience and precise judgement at every stage, from the first cut to the final polish. A small change in pressure, angle or proportion can affect the balance of the finished piece.
Our carvers understand how to read the stone: where to cut, where to preserve, and how to bring out its natural depth, colour and movement. The result is a collection of pieces that unite natural rarity with skill.
